I repair clocks and sell them too. While I was at the county fair with my booth, I was kilted the whole time. So far, two people have come up to me, even while I am in a different city, and even if I don't have my kilt on at that time, they remember me.

In my case it literally came about by accident; I pulled muscles and couldn't get into trousers so rather than stay off work wore a kilt to the office. To my surprise it was so favourably received that after the muscles healed I continued to wear the kilt to work once or twice per week.

Im a floor layer, so i dont think i could pull it off. You cant exactly wear out the knees in a kilt i wouldnt think, not to mention that i spend my whole day kicking carpet and getting up and down off my knees. none of that would go over real good in a kilt i wouldnt think. might be a little too revealing for the customer
