Another Olde Kilt Movie
I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING (1945)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037800/
Set at the end of WWII in the Western Isles it's got kilts, ceilidhs and curses. Pipers and whirlpools. Falconry and phoneboxes.
Check the "Home Movies" on the DVD as well.

Pretty decent movie.
Odd facts.
Mostly shot on Mull.
EXCEPT->Roger Livesey .... Torquil MacNeil
The Englishman playing a Scotsman, a clan chief in fact.
BUT he never left London, using a body double for all the on-site shots at Mull.

I suppose Niven was still soldiering when shooting was scheduled (I didn't mean the pun), as he would have been up for a time on Mull - and he was a genuine Scot? Interesting that they billed the film as being in English and Gaelic.

Roger Livesey...
As an aside, Roger Livesey played Clive Candy in "The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp", which was a great movie.
