    hmmnn

My surname is Williamson which is(can be) an anglasized form of MacWilliam.
So my name tie to several clans. I/we (family) go by Gunn. I have a MacLeod Hunting wool (MacWilliam is a sept) and a Black Watch blend-sewn by me (My Great great grand dad was in the Royal Scots Greys Dragoon Guards).

*The end of September or early October, my Gunn Ancient 4 yard box pleat from Matthew Newsome/Scottish Tartans Museum should be ready.*

    Can Hardly wait!

    Yes kind of..

I have an xmarks tartan kilt and since I haven´t been able to trace back far enough to find a tartan in my family tree I consider this my ¨clan¨ so I do have one. My US Bicentennial fabric is here and that will be my second ´clan´ kilt.

Eventually I will. I'm saving up for a County Armagh 8 yard 13 oz kilt from the ST Museum. I wish I felt comfortable getting one in whatever tartan I like, but at this stage I feel like I kinda have to have some connection. Speaking of, has anyone ever seen an Indiana tartan?

Thumbs up I do, I do......or will shortly

Woo Hoo!!! I've done it! I've ordered a kilt in my family tartan today from USA Kilts. Clark tartan that is (the Scottish blood comes from my mother's side of the family). With any luck it will arrive in time to wear to her wedding on her birthday at the end of October. Can you tell I'm excited?
    I've kilt for less.

    Ialtog,

Quoting from The Compendium of District Tartans by Matt Newsome and James Bullman, Scotpress 2004, -05 (Once again - a REALLY good reference)

"...snip...The Indiana tartan was designed by Jan Crook in 1992. It is also called the Indiana Cardinal Tartan. ...snip... It is not known if this was ever officialy adopted by the state."

You can see a picture of the tartan at District Tartans

    It's a nice tartan.

Argggggg, I wish I woulda checked back here before I got the blackwatch kilt. I've seen the cumming modern and wasn't that big of a fan of it (I don't like the color red) but really really like the hunting version.
