With 250,000 people last year (and it's grown by leaps and bounds every year since it started 17 years ago), it is one of the biggest in the country... grade 1 bagpipe competition, world class highland games, miles of vendors and 4 tents of music...
If you only get to 1 celtic festival, this is the one. I've been there for the last 10 years as a patron and these last 2 as a vendor.
I can't wait to go to the Classic. I have heard so much about it. I have lots of friends and relatives going. I also can't wait to hear Enter the Haggis in concert. I hope we have great weather for the event.
I am starting to get excited / nervous for the CC. We've just ordered lots of sporrans (50 Rob Roys and 50 Celtic Knots), replentished the shirts to above normal inventory levels (and added 2 new designs), and have several HUNDRED hours of time and LOTS of money tied up in "off the rack" kilts we're making.
Everybody come out and see the exhausted Rocky pass out from overwork!
I will be there! Maybe I'll need to bring the smelling salts! Or drag Rocky off to the stage when ETH is playing!
Thanks for the offer, but this festival is ALL work, NO play. You'll understand if you stop by the booth to TRY to say hello to us. We're swamped with customers from 9 AM to 10 PM (what a HORRIBLE thing to have to complain about )
Seriously... don't take offense if we don't really have a chance to talk. This weekend is our "superbowl" of kilts. AND... we can catch ETH next time they come around and we can put back a pint or two!
