What if kilts never really catch on?

I live, at the moment, in fairly rural Japan. I think the locals are going to be quite shocked about a mad Scotsman in a kilt being around town. :confused:

I don't care if they never catch on, I love kilts and plan to buy a few more in the future.

what on earh do you have to be mad about? ( besides the possibility of running out of scotch!)
