The Pleated Snake!
At last, I have a photo of the pleats on the luscious leather 'Snakeskin' TFCK kilt I introduced to you recently. So here it is for those that were asking:

The pinkish-tinge is due to the sunlight reflecting from the brick wall of my house. The base colour of the leather is actually a pale beige, with the grey markings. As for the enormously deep belt loops: I have yet to ask Howie why they are quite so large ((I am wearing a 2" black leather belt!), and why they were provided in a brown, rather than black, fabric. My thoughts are to carefully dye them black but I will wait until I have tried out all-brown acessories with the kilt.

Maybe it's my screen, but I don't think the color on the loops are odd looking. To me they appear a grayish color and I think they provide a good transition from the darker shirt to the lighter kilt. Color them if you want but they look fine to me except for the size.

Beautiful "sharp" pleats...TFCK really did a great job...very nice!
The beltloops are indeed a bit odd....wasn't it possible to make them from the same material as the kilt? Brown is second best I think...I'm not that sure about black.
Fantastic kilt!

that is a great looking kilt. One questions, are the scales very fragile? I've seen a lot of snakeskins where the scales peel off if rubbed up against.
thanks,
KT

Snake Skin Kilt Musical Medley
In honor of how cool you look Hamish in your new snake skin kilt...
The Snake Skin Kilt Medley
(a'la Paula Abdul's "Cold Hearted Snake")
“He's a cold-hearted snake
Look into his eyes
Oh ohhh
Check out those kilted thighs!
He's a kilted boy at play
But Hamish don't play by rules
Oh oh
Girl don't play the fool--no”
(a'la Duran Duran's "Union of the Snake")
“Hamish’s forum post was there
I knew this was a big mistake
There's a fine line between style
and madness
And I think it's about to break
In my mind’s eye I can see those pleats - Oh Ohhhhh Oh!
Voices of my overdrawn credit cards saying “No Noooo No!”
The kilt of the Snake is online!
Moving up it's gonna race it's gonna break
Through my credit line”
(a'la The Church's "Reptile")
"You are kilted now, you’ve been set free.
With your snakeskin kilt, jealousy is poisoning me
With your too cool style.
I see you slither away with your skin and your tail,
Your flickering tongue and your rattling scales
Like a kilted reptile.”
Cheers

It's actually leather with a snakeskin pattern applied. Beautiful kilt.
