Request for location clarification

updated mine. For further clarification, I am about 90 miles north and east of Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Just about 5 miles south of the international border between the United States and Canada.

I live about 100 miles north-west of Richmond Virginia. And about 20 miles
north-west of Charlottesville Virginia. About 1.5 miles down the road is the extinct village of Celt, Virginia, its located right on Celt Road in Greene Country.

No problem, those were just off the top of my head.

What always confuses me are the "M" states and which 2 letter abbreviation is which. "M" states are Missisippi, Maine, Massachusets, Michigan, Minnisota, and probably one that stips my mind.

It is a nice thread and useful to alleviate confusion.

For once in my life I planned ahead and had it setup that way from the beginning.

Phoenix is located in south central Arizona in the middle of the Sonoran Desert, the hottest desert in the USA but not the most dry.

In the summer it can get quite hot (120 degrees Farehnheit) but in the winter some nights it can get down to freezing.

I used to live in Chicago, Illinois but moved here because I could not stand the winters there.

Just a small correction, MacWage. Saskatchewan = Sask. = SK. I've changed my profile, too. There is a member on the board who used OCONUS in his address, and I had never heard of that before. Since I live on Vancouver Island, which is not attached to the North American continent, I made up my own abbreviation - OCONCAN = Outside Continental Canada.

Thanks, I thought of those a few hours later . . . No offense intended for residents of those states.

If anyone counted, thats EIGHT (8 of 50)!!!! All with state codes starting with M!! I forget which is which, so I usually use the longer version.

What is OCONUS (is it Outside Continental US-> Hawaii??) :confused:

Unlike another forum I visit, at least we use the address for an address not a quote or a political or religious statement (which would probably get ya banned anyways as religion and politics are against the rules anyways). :mrgreen:
