Update - stanger than fiction
reference my original post. I went back sevefral days ago kilted to Kohls. I hadn't even gotten into the store when a woman asked me if I was Scottish, in an English accent. It turns out she was born in Scotland and was visiting Georgia from England, where she lives. I just replied that I'm of English and Scottish descent, and find the kilt a comfortable piece of clothing. It was the SWK saffron, and she was very complementary.
Go figure. My first two kilt encounters "out in the real world", in Georgia, are with Scots.

Well, looks like I need to schedule a visit to the local Kohl's when I come up for the Stone Mountain games. I've never had such great interactions at the department store.

Kohl's, Kilts and Scots...
Oh, I can't pass THIS one up...!!
I work for a Kohl's store here in Raleigh, and I've been with the company for 2-1/2 years. Great folks to work with and I've enjoyed myself. Glad that Turpin has had a good experience with them.
I want to talk to my store manager and see IF, by some remote chance, I could get away with wearing my Dress Red MacNicol next April 6 on National Tartan Day. Won't hurt to ask. Might work, might not. We'll see...

Nothing is worn under the kilt...everything works just fine!!
