I have that same Ireland's National semi-traditional so I know every word you wrote is the truth. Have two other semi-trads of the same quality too.
Now...if you really want a treat...quality for low price...pick a tartan you like and order up one of Rocky and Kelly's USA Kilt Casuals.
Its no accident that I own four and have four more on order. I'm guessing you'd like a casual for its light weight, swish, and quality. You can't lose by trying one. But I warn you my friend, you may develop a sudden urge to accumulate some more casuals.

Many thanks for that, Ron. Who knows, I might very well take your advice, but I think I'll have to wait until I have the four kilts I have on order from other highly respected kiltmakers here in Europe! Although, that does not prevent me from starting a "USA Kilts Wants List" right away, does it?!
Just a thought: I'll probably need a couple of really lightweight kilts for my California visit in October - could have Rocky send them to my hosts there to await my arrival!!! Must think this one through......
