    Review - first impressions:

I am extremely happy with this kilt! I have a feeling that it will replace my UK completely! Complimented with one of my brown sporrans, Cavscout's brown sporran strap and belt, I think this will be a VERY sharp kilt!

I did request the kilt in duck cloth to replace the UK, as I prefer the traditional style design to the UK design.

I will wear it around for a while, and post my thoughts on it's performance.

so far...O'Neille, You better get another sewing machine, as I think you will wear this one out soon!

Here is a pic of the kilt, dressed to go. Black belt, sporran and kilt strap, with Xmarks kilt pin in position. I think the kilt looks very sharp.

I'll post a pic with brown leathers when I get a complete set here in a bit.

Other than my Daughter, you're the first person I've ever seen wearing something I made. Kind of like sending that first kid off to college. We should be seeing a Mcleod mini sported by Red Lioness soon.

The brown leathers will look nice, I personally, would rather see it with the kilt check girls. O'Neille

    performance update #1

Took the kilt for a test run. I am very pleased so far. It breathed like a traditional, and is far cooler than my UK survival. I even mowed the lawn in it, and it was great.

Took for the the ultimate test drive - surfing Xmarks. It performed flawlessly. the aprons fall as they should, and the pleats behave well.

tonight it hits the town, so I'll give a better review of public opinion in the morning.
