The black one will go with everything. I've been wanting one for a while but I don't ever wear my cream one. The green would have less options w/ other kilts. Why not get both if you like them? That's the problem with greens they don't always go together well. O'Neille

My advice: green would look good as it is not the dominant colour in the tartan, but is HAS to be a perfect match! If there is any doubt go for the black shirt.

It would look nice at Christmas though. Maybe with a card and some ribbon. O'Neille

The Clan Grant Society of the US had clan t-shirts made in green and it looked good with the ancient Grant, but not so with the modern, which is why I didn't get one.

I enjoyed seeing the pic of your kilt. I was VERY close to buying a Grant kilt for my wedding before settling on my the one I got. The Clan Grant society in the US claims my family as a sept, but the Grants in the UK say no. After much research, I found nothing to substantiate the claim, so I went in another direction.

Red's not my favorite color, anyway.

My vote would be for the black, there is some black in every tartan. The greens are very hard to match, there are blue greens and yellow greens, they don't go together very well.

    BTW, great looking outfit.

I think what folks have suggested will look good...

    Here's my 2 cents:
I would get a tan/Khaki colored shirt and matching hose. I think the earthy light tones will compliment the kilt while letting the kilt be the focus.

    Cheers

Even if you get a perfect match with a green shirt most people are going to think, "Christmas" with that much red in the kilt. The black sounds good.

First of all...I'd suggest the black (bear in mind, however, that I always wear a black shirt every day...and, no, I'm not a priest or a minister...it's a long story) but I'd consider a tan or khaki shirt as a possibility...they're both relatively neutral and could set off the green hose well enough.

Second...is that your wedding picture? You both look SO young. Guid on ye and enjoy these days...it's great to be young and a couple.

    Best

    AA
