Captial District Scottish Games 2006
Held 9/2 and 9/3 at Altamont Fairgrounds, Altamont, NY.
Fairly large venue. Good food, Music Athletics, Shops and pipers galore. Grade 2 EUSPBA Championships on Sunday.
We have been attending these games since their inception back in the late 70's. I highly recommend it for anyone passing through. Come visit us at the Durie Family tent.

She Who Must Be Obeyed has approved my request to attend.
She wears the pants in the family.

I hope to convice my Girlfriend to attend this weekend. I have been looking for a chance to get out and about in my now completed outfit.
Just got my BK brown sporran yesterday. That was the final piece that I was waiting for.
Hope to see some of you there. (Not sure if I will be going Sat or Sun yet)

Great to hear Bob C and Orionsfall are attending. We will be there both days. Stop by and see us. Looking forward to it.

I dunno, Celt. The weather forecast does not sound promising. I'm playing this one by ear.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Same here...
Attendence is dependent on the weather at this point.

And it was dry all day Saturday, right through massed bands! Miraculous!
And our Grade 3 band won the NE championships!

Very muddy on Sunday, though that did not seem to dampen spirts much. It was my first time there, and I am curious if that was a normal level of attendance or were people staying away?

Sadly, I coudn't convice the significant other to make the drive. An hour each way was a bit too much of a risk in her mind...
Sorry I couldn't attend!
Hope to see you all at future events!
