These look fairly nice. Would like to hear from anyone who has one.

Walkerk:
Those do look pretty nice. The dirk (I think the handle was Cocobolo) looks really nice, at least what you can see of it does.
There was nothing mentioned about those sgians having an edge though. I try and stay away from stainless steel... it's good for knives, but horrible for swords..and I am more of a sword geek than a knife geek. Although it is nice to have the "traditional" accessories of sgian, dirk, basket hilt, and targe. Like I said...I'm a dork for weapons.

I've got the blackwood, it has a really nice leather sheath with it.

I've got a blackwood with false emerald in the handle and it looks wonderful with almost any outfit. It came with a very nice leather sheath.

Has anyone ever gotten any flak for carrying a sgian? Like, anyone try to stop you for carrying a knife?

This one's on my wish list:
http://www.swordsmiths.co.uk/Data/Pages/Scottish_12.htm
It's based on a sgian that was picked up on the battlefield of Culloden after the fight.
I've never had any problem when carrying a sgian dhu, or a dirk for that matter. Only oppressive, tyrannical societies come down hard on free citizens carrying little bitty knives...!

There's been lots of discussion of this topic in recent months...a quick search of the archives will let you see some of the lengthy discussions on this topic. It's one of the reasons why Panache developed his Sghian Don'ts and some of the lads carry dummy Sghians.
