Wow, that was fast. Ask and ye shall receive. Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
Sandy, please regale us with a review now that you've had them for a couple of months. Still happy?

I hope they're still good, I just bid on a pair. I've gotten so much earth toned and brown accessories that I need them now. O'Neille

I'm stunned! I expected you to say you caught a cow, killed it bare handed, skinned it, tanned the leather and made a pair of shoes for yourself .... this morning! . ;]
Yeah, I have so much brown gear I find I need a pair too. I like the possibility of semi-formal wear with brown accesories. I think it can be done well with just the right tartan and accessories and you would definitely stand out in even a kilt wearing crowd.

I've put on my SWK weathered Lamont a few times and it was just a little too nice for my casual look and was screaming for brown brogues. My standard brown cap toes just don't have the bulk to do it justice. I think the brown brogues will complement many of my kilts and accessories nicely. O'Neille

Tan Ghillie Brogue Review
So the Tan Brogues are very nice with a composite sole, that was advertised as leather. I have already contacted the seller about this oversight. He has already given me positive feedback, so I doubt he was trying to pull one over on the unsuspecting buyer. I really couldn't tell until I scuffed the soles a bit to take the slick off. The laces are not as substantial as my Gaelic Themes black brogues but the tassels are nicer. The Leather work is precise and the finish is not overly shined. I will put a coat of polish on them tonight and wear them in Minneapolis this week. They are not quite the quality of my Black leather sole brogues, but they are quite serviceable. They are also very comfortable out of the box. The size is right on. A little broader in the ball of the foot and a comfortable arched and padded insole. I had to put orthotic insoles in my dress black brogues for all day wear. These will not have that problem. The composite sole will last longer, so for their intended use I might actually prefer it. I usually only wear my black brogues to dinner or formal events. They were shipped by FedEx and there was no duty imposed. They arrived in one week. I got some other goodies that I'll put it all together in another post tonight. O'Neille
