Right then. Looks like the best option for me is a solid kilt. SWK heavyweight sounds good. I'll still want something in my taratn, but I guess that can wait. Thanks for the advice, all.

I assume you are the correct size to wear a SWK.
I think a semi-traditional USA Kilt fits you requirements. It's made to order based on your size. The fabric is PV so it will hold up to your everyday use. Rocky has many tartans readily available and may be able to get other tartans in PV as well.

Stillwater offers all waist sizes, but only one length...24". For some reason though 24" seems to be just right for alot of body types. I'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam and they fit me so well I have 3 Stillwater kilts and will be ordering more.
