About kilts in Scotland

I was in Glasgow on Saturday, at the Barras, (weekend Market) Famous in Glasgow for all sorts of reasons & I met this gentleman walking around, He is also a full time kilt wearer, You do meet one now & again

We did a 10 day tour with our old folk rock band many years ago and the only kilt we saw the whole time was in Inverness, worn by an elderly gentleman who came into the bank where I was banking some of our 'ard 'urned and merchandise cash at the time. If we had'nt banked most of our takings by the way, it would have been spent on beer and the likes.

At Leuchars Air Show on Saturday I only spotted one kilt worn casually though there were plenty of kilted pipe band players; yet when I returned to Hawick late at night and went into town for a take away meal I spotted three separate kilted gentlemen; proof if any were needed that kilts are slowly becoming more common; a few years ago walking along the main street here kilted on a Saturday night would have attracted unwanted comments from young drunks.
