Auld Argonian,
I don't think that every man has the hots for Diana Rigg. There are undoubtedly some poor unfortunate men out there who have never heard of her let alone seen her as Emma Peel on the Avengers (perhaps in the deep jungle of the Amazon basin). A moment of silence for these poor dejected miserable lost souls.
Cheers

The kilts are in "Castle De'Ath." While the plot is not avengers at their best, it has some of the best visuals. As it is black and white, the tartan is extremely hard to ID. I've been told there are color pics (even promised some), but have never seen any.
As for "Emma Peel" (from M-Apeal-> BBC talk for male appeal, if you havn't got the joke by now), she is something. The outfit in the pic shown (where she infiltrates the Hellfire Club), was designed by Miss Rigg herself. That episode was BANNED in the US at the time because of it.
I also love her car, a Lotus Elan (actually 2 of them with different number plates, a white one in the Back and Whites and a light blue one in the color ones). BUT, that is a topic for another forum. Also-> there is a pic of Jim Clark, great F1 driver, kilted kneeling against an Elan . . .
Now, I must watch Avenger . . .
Mrs. Peel, we are needed.

I couldn't have said this better myself. I was so in love with Diana Rigg when The Avengers was on prime time. I had completely forgotten about the Castle D'eath episode. Thanks for bringing it up, Martin.

Glad to hear that Graham. It's a wonderfully atmospheric episode. The castle, the pipes, the kilts!
See if you can spot the continuity error as Steed goes out for a spot of fishing! It's rather obvious actually, I wonder how they missed it.

Well done! Oh, I always wanted to be like Steed. I saw that Hellfire Club episode as an adult, I can well imagine it wasn't considered suitable for U.S. TV at the time! Diana Rigg was in a class all her own and holds a special place in my boyhood ideals of a perfect woman, couldn't stand any of the other actresses they had partnered with Steed.
Best regards,
Jake
