    Regimental (nappy) style kilt pins??

Does anybody out here know where I can find a pewter or silver version of the cheap, nickle-plated, Chinese "kilt pins" sold at craft shops? I still need to find one for my saffron, as they were worn by the Ulster Defence Regiment's pipers. I'd really prefer not to buy Chinese. Any information would be appreciated!

I didn't understand what style you are referring to. Could you give a lengthier description or post a picture? O'Neille

Perhaps you could inquire at What Price Glory? The gentleman who owns that firm sells a large amount of militaria, replica and original. It might be worth an inquiry, if he doesn't have it, perhaps he could point you to someone who would?

Oh I had to shift to another language. Nappy=Diaper...correct? I was being a little slow. What size did they use. All I've ever seen are the nickel plated ones. I have one that is 4" that came with a very old Cameron of Erracht kilt and another about 3.5" that came with my Royal Stewart Strathmore. I've seen similar old ones on ebay for a song. O'Neille

    OMG!
I haven't heard the word nappy used to reference a diaper in years on end. Last time I ever heard it was from one of my mom's friends that she kept in contact with from when we lived in Dunoon. Ha ha ha.
    That was pretty DURP! no?
Could you possibly make a pin like that? With a mold, a dremel, and perhaps a lot of patience? The cheap one could be used as a template.

Try a sewing shop, or even Walmart. I'll bet you can just find a big safety pin.
