    I really need to check my posts on here more often!!

    The kilt pin from Kiltstore.com is a Highlanders (taken from the Gordons) officer's kilt pin. I got mine for US$60 from Bugpiper.net about 5 years ago. It's regiment-specific and wouldn't work for my UDR themed uniform. It's a fantastic pin, though!!

    What I ended up doing... I found somebody in Australia on eBay offering a very spirally artistic version of a kilt/nappy pin. I sent him several pics, and about a month and US$45 later, I had my handmade, solid steel regimental pattern kilt pin! It's a little longer than the cheap craft shop versions, but perfect for my purposes.
