Pre Order Jones?
The darts team (or at least the dudes with whom I play darts) and I are gathering for a small party; a measuring party. The "Core Four" are all ordering kilts from Steve, (they are all taken with my FK; one of the nicest articles of clothing I have EVER worn) and his new measuring guides are a bit complex. Well, not complex per se, but for us, I can only imagine a fair amount of hilarity ensuing.
I am already jonesing for my next FK. I am sorely tempted to order two at the same time, just so I have some depth in my "bullpen"; but I am not sure how well that would work out with my other obligations (rent, phone, gas etc). At least I will have accurate measurements on file.
We are at this point torn between the MARPAT camo and basic black as a team color. I would like MARPAT, but then this is not my first kilt; the others are thinking black because it is more versatile. It is a tough call as to the colors, but I think I will bring a print out of available colors just for fun.
I will keep you all posted, and hopefully in 8-10 weeks I will be able to put up a picture of our kilted dart team.

That would be so cool! I would love to find enough others to have a similar measuring party! And I am sure that Steve is appreciative of the business...

Cool! The decision process is greatly simplified by ordering one of each!

I AM VERY APPRECIATIVE!!!
And I like the suggestion to order one of each.
Let's see - Three Models X 30 fabric choices X four pocket options, four button choices, five logo colors. And that's squared, not just multiplied.
Would this be a poor time to tell you I'm thinking of going on a round-the-world cruise and won't be back for 6 1/2 months.
Just kidding, but I'll bet the look on your face was worth a photo.

Steve, don't do that! You'll be getting an order from me either at the end of this month or the end of next month. You just scared the bejeezus out of me!

You mean you don't take your sewing machine on vacation with you?

No need for the sewing machine...he can bring the portable Kilt Loom...a new invention where you bring a pile of tartan, a bunch of thread, a wooden box and a few bottles of scotch, and wind up with a kilt!
here is how it works...
1. put everything but one bottle of scotch in the box. Make sure other bottle of scotch is at the bottom of the box.
2. Begin consuming scotch from bottle in hand.
3. By the time the first bottle nearly empty, the search begins for the second bottle.
4. Once the drinker remembers the bottle is in the bottom of the box, he will begin fumbling through the box, trying to untabgle the wool and thread from scotch.
5. After a few hours of fumbling around, the scotch will be found and untangled...and for reasons I don't quite understand, the tangled mess of thread and wool has turned into a proper 8 yard knife-pleated kilt!
Has anyone every used one of these?
