unless im just lounging around the house I tuck mine in too. It looks a lot better, it shows off your belt, buckle and sporran if youre wearing any. And it seems that it might cut down on the skirt comments. Lets face it, a great belt, big buckle, a sporran and a nice kilt are pretty styling even if youre just wearing them with a tucked in tshirt.

unless doing manual labor (lawnmowing, woodcutting, etc) tucked in is the way to go.

Welcome aboard. I always wear mine tucked in. That includes doing manual labor.

Always in. Of course I always have my shirt tucked in with trousers as well. To do otherwise just looks sloppy.

Whichever makes you comfortable in a casual situation. I wear mine out fairly often, just mind the shirt length.

I always wear mine tucked in. I think it looks wrong to be out, but I would agree with Robin that a sweater looks better out, but with the waist at the top of the kilt and bloused out.

Welcome, cbiegel!
I know what you mean, before I started wearing a kilt I hardly ever tucked my shirt in. Here in the desert, loose fitting clothing (like an untucked shirt) isn't just a matter of comfort or fashion, it helps keep you cooler. So, the first time I wore a kilt, I wore my shirt out & that was the last time I wore my shirt untucked with a kilt - I thought it looks too much like a dress with the shirt-tail hanging out.
As for a sweater, I'll have to take Robin's word on that. I can't remember the last time it got cold enough in Phoenix to need a sweater.
.
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!
