Well, it's finally here. Besides myself, anyone else attending this event in....5 hours and 7 minutes?
It's a wee bit too hot to wear any of my 16oz Wool Kilt Tanks, at least for my fat ****, but I'm going (albeit with pitifully little rest).

Well folks,
I went, I saw,........ I was underwhelmed! Let's just say I feel very sorry for those who traveled some distance to attend this folk fair (I hesitate to call it a Highland Games proper).
I was not in any way a part of the committee who put this flop together, so please don't kill the messenger if you were one of those who DID travel to attend.

A*b*s*o*l*u*t*e*l*y! Sad to report. I had high hopes for this event, having moved from Big D and anticipating a "real" Highland Games locally at last.

With two years to prepare for this new location/venue, I'd say the "committee" really dropped the ball. Brutally honest, but true none the less.

ahh, well then that makes me feel much better, though it is sad.

I'll just try again to make it to Glasgow next year.
