Amazing how popular people that take a bottle to Norway can be!
I know that from personal experience!

I have had that experience too. Norway is a very beautiful country and I have always found the people warm and friendly but their puritanical attitude to alchohol takes my breath away so I could not see myself actually living there. I'd need a steady inflow of generous visitors to keep me going.

Well the State Monopoly on sales of alcohol over 5%, the limited opening hours and the proximity of shops (especially difficult in rural areas) must be frustrating indeed, let alone the taxes on it!
But if you live near the Swedish border it might be a little more tolerable.

For the prices maybe. However you can't buy anything in a supermarket over 3,5 % you have to go the their state run Monopoly for that. With the same rual problems

It's county Fermanagh and yes the copper kilt pins are moderators only..Ask Hank...you know the guy that doesn't exsist
When one is over 70, David, one is ALLOWED to forget!!!
It is just that in the photo with your sister, the tartan appears (on my monitor) to be a very attractive grey and pink!
And yes, now that I have been reminded, I do recall the matter of the copper 'awards' being made to Moderators only.
As I say, I am ALLOWED to forget! [Just as well since it is happening with increasing regularity!!]
Take care,
Um....errr....ah....ummm...oh, I give up!!
