I work at ACS, just north of Citiplace and a bit south of Trinity Hall. I was thinking of going there after work. Here's some more info I got from Jill Burt this morning:
This Friday, September 22nd, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Trinity Hall Pub & Restaurant, there will be an annual benefit for the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat featuring the top Irish bands in the area.
Performers will include the Trinity Hall Session Players at 5 p.m., Irish Rogues at 6 p.m., Jigsaw at 7 p.m., Behan at 8 p.m., Beyond the Pale at 9 p.m., Shift (formerly Busker’s Gate) at 10 p.m., Rogers, Hicks and Alfonso at 11 p.m. and Spriggan at midnight.
All of these bands are donating their time and talents so that you can make donations in support of the retreat. There is no admission charge, and a raffle will be held after each set for various prizes. Also, a portion of Trinity Hall’s food sales will go to the retreat.
Help support the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat of which the SCMA is a major sponsor. This year’s retreat will be held in Midlothian, Texas on October 27-29 and will bring into Texas some of the best Irish music instructors in the world.
For more information about the benefit, please go to http://www.irishtradmusic.org/retreatbenefit.htm or call the retreat office at 972-238-8724.
