So I'm thinking of cashing in my retirement fund and buying one of those for weekends.........Went and checked, If I work for 400 more years and invest twice as much and the stock market quadruples, I'll be able to afford it but the matching kilt would take another year. Great pictures. O'Neille

Hamish, great outfit as usual. I drool over that Randonee Bretonne tartan. If only it wasn't so D@M# expensive. I've only found it from the one kiltmaker (where you got it), and my lord!!
Maybe next week.

Hamish, I take it you decided to sell your home so it could be turned into a hotel! While I'm sure it was a rough move...how do you deal with the reduced kilt storage space?

Hamish,
You said,
"PS: Scotland and Wales are not the only places to find great castles! This one is in good condition in spite of it having been knocked about a bit by Oliver Cromwell in 1643!"
I'm very glad that the castle is finally finished so you could have such a great place to show off a great kilt, but My God, don't you folks over there have Home Depot? I mean jeez, 363 years to stick in some new vinyl windows, hang a few drapes, and splash on a new coat of paint?
Well perhaps you have trouble finding tradespeople. But after all that time you would think even one old guy working alone with a broken meter stick and a dull saw could have finished in only 214 years.
Great pics Hamish. Thanks for sharing.

A moving photo—Bravo!
Thanks for the photos. It's always good to see photos of other places that we might like to visit. Love the second photo—really well done.

It's been tough, KT ............ and is likely to get tougher still. But, y'know, it's been worth it. I got a fair price for the old place after all!
