RAF Man to wear Kilt in Loch Ness Marathon

    Story here.

Running it for charity but worried about friction. Someone needs to send him a tube of that body glide stuff!

Body Glide will not last a whole marathon! My wife's been doing Half Marathon's recently, and it barley lasts her till mile 6. But I've actually thought about joining her, and if I do...you can guarantee I'll be kilted, but wearing bike shorts or something under!

He he, I have no idea what it is, just read a thread concerning it yesterday and it stuck in my mind! I forgot to say good on the guy, for running for charity and pushing kilts.

I'd have to agree with you about the shorts underneath, for that distance. Also, I'd have to do a lot more training than that fellow is doing. Like you say, he deserves a lot of credit for running for charity and being so enthusiastic about kilts.

Good on Lt. Cowan! Anyone who feels like showing some support for the kilted runner could help sponsor him at: http://www.lochnessmarathon.com/

I'm assuming he'll be the only one in a kilt. He'll certainly stand out from the rest of the runners... kilt swinging wildy in the breeze!
