			Loch Ness Sporran: 2nd chance

Earlier this summer Matt Newsome showed off the new Buzz Kidder sporran "Loch Ness (in black)." I wasn't very fond of what I saw, photo wize. ...
 Loch Ness thread

About a month ago, I was in the STM (Scottish Tartans Museum) gift shop, shopping around, and I decided to look at sporrans. Well, one caught my eye, "Loch Ness (in brown)."

 So I said, "Hey Matt!"
 Matt Says, "What Daniel?"
Me, "The online photos don't do this sporran justice"
Matt, " I know, I took a load of pictures, etc...."

 Anyway, you get the idea...

Two weeks later, I went back to the STM to pick up a b-day order for my brother and to pick out a new brown sporran for myself..

I was nelt down holding the Rob Roy in my left hand, and the Loch Ness in my right.. Well, I went for the Loch Ness. I really liked it in brown. Matt prefers it in black and seeing it in person I understand his reasoning. Although, I felt it is an interesting sporran that few have and especially not in brown. I really hate looking like a clone!

 here it is:

I hope these pics show it off better. For some reason, I'm having the same problem that Matt was having. It doesn't seem to photograph that well. It looks many times better in person. I wore the Loch Ness at the Appalachian Highland games, and I/the sporran rather, was complimented by someone else at the games.

That's fantastic! I've seen it on the museum site, but I guess I didn't realize it was available in brown. I'm in desperate need of a brown sporran...

Interesting to see it hung directly from the belt instead of a chain.
For some reason from the title I was expecting to see a representation of the Monster embossed on it!

Is that a Lowe's tool belt? I have one, too. It's the perfect casual brown kilt belt.
I've always hated those hangers, but I like your sporran.

I hang my current sporran by a couple small sections of chain, looped around my belt. The freebie sporran chain that came with it wasn't large enough, so I improvised. Works well enough for casual.
You're right, the pics at the Museum don't do that sporran justice... it looks much better in your pics, or it could be that your's is brown...
