Fantastic! And you're getting a subsidy....even mo fantastic!

Wife and I have had the good fortune to get overseas several times...even when you have to pick up part of the tab yourself it's still just enouh to tip the balance from "no way" to "let's go". Won't even mention the excellent opportunity for the kids to get out, experience World Culture and have a fond memory that will last a lifetime.

We put our names in the drawing for a trip to Wales at Celtic Fest...I guess we didn't win so we'll have to wait until we can go out on one of Derek's rigorous pub crawls with him. We have pretty much decided that the next big trip is to the UK...trouble is that I now have so many folks over there that I would like to stop and at least have a pint with that it might be an extensive tour.

Hope you can make all the stops that you want...

You never know AA .. when was the draw supposed to be. Whatever the case, when you come over to the UK make sure you give yourselves enough time to visit Scotland (P1M & Emma) and Wales (Elaine & me). Between us four at least you'll get to see lots of interesting things and stay sober the whole of the time  . You know it makes sense . Don't forget to let Ham know as well, I'm sure he would meet up with you as well if he could.

Many thanks for the PM, Rob. I'm checking a couple of things regarding dates and will get back to you over the weekend. I am actually leaving here on Thursday 5th to begin my journey to Palm Springs (flying out of Heathrow on 6th) so my schedule is tight that week. Will see what I can do and will PM you back.

Not to highjack the thread. But, I just found out there may be a possibility of me going to England the first part of November. It would be for a three day school. But, my boss encouraged me to take a few days of vacation in conjunction with it so to enjoy it. The class is full, but that could change at any time. I'm not familiar with England's geography, but the class is in Bottesford, Nottinghamshire. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I believe that Bottesford is in Leicestershire in the Vale Of Belvoir (pronounced Beever).

I have been through it on a train - it's on the line between Nottingham and Grantham.

Hey, have I mentioned that I fit neatly in a carry on?

Hmmm...Why am I reminded of the famous stateroom scene from "A Night At The Opera"?

It's either foggy outside or make that eight more hardboiled eggs.

    Bradley,

That is about 48 miles from the geographical centre of England!
