Wow!
efer:
My kilt journey has been, as these things are wont to be, an evolution. As I learn more, and as I learn more about what I want, my tastes have been changing. I've got three or four of the Stillwater heavyweights and I really like them. (Sorry, mods, had to throw that out there as a preferatory statement.)
But Rocky and Kelly's USA Kilts---shazam and wow. The difference between a good solid off the rack item and one made JUST for you, JUST for your measurements . . . well, it can spoil you.
Your new Ferguson modern is a dang sharp looking kilt. (Looks almost as nice as my recently arrived Ramsay semi-trad!) I've had one of Rocky's casual Farquharson kilts for over a year now, and it has seen some hard use, and still looks good. The ability to pop the casual into the washer and dryer has done much to endear it to me, and the sewn down pleats let me "finger press" the pleats into place.
The semi-traditional is almost too nice to subject to that kind of use, but I might do it anyway. And if I do, I'll bet it will, in John Cameron Swayze's old phrase, take a licking and keep on ticking.
Ever forward!

kid... one word of caution. Do NOT throw the Semi Trad in the dryer. It's not recommended for the casual, but it can happen. The Semi Trad has LEATHER straps that will be damaged by being wet and then dried in hot air.

Words of caution
Rocky:
Thanks for the words of caution. When I say dryer---I really mean tumble dry on the casual, and I was pretty sure that the semi-trad deserves dry cleaning, airing or hand-wash/line dry. I like the casual quite a bit---but the semi-trad is simply fabulous.

re: dry cleaning...I though that that was right out because it wasn't good for the fabric (or was it the finish on the fabric?).

Dry cleaning will damage the teflon finish on the fabric
