It's been very much the same so far here in Roswell. I'm the only kiltie i've seen around on the streets. I don't go full-time, but it's been often enough on weekends and fridays. I'm either ignored, or engaged with positive comments. The one annoying encounter was with a teacher at a function at my daughter's school last friday. He was with his wife, and started making boyfriend jokey conversation. I asked if he thought I was gay because I was in a kilt, and he backed off of that line of conversation.
At the same event, a little girl asked me "Why are you a leprechaun?". I was so not prepared for that one I had no immediate response. Too bad, it was a good opportunity to expand her knowledge base.
I've been showing the folks at work pics of me from photobucket and they keep asking when I'm going to wear the kilt to work
