Do wear your Kilt when working the corner for your buddy's kick boxing bout.

well,...ummm...err... AWWWW heck.
I'll buy him a drink or three, so we can put all that nastiness behind us and all kick the crap out of the trousered  !!!!!
(I may, however, make a few jokes about him and his inflatable sheep...)

My two cents...
I'm a pretty conservative traditionalist kilt-wise, and a bit of a purist in a certain sense that I dont care for a lot of the flashy EXPENSIVE kilt accessories that in my opinion are simply over-commercialised. In that I wear my kilt to honour my Highland/Celtic heritage, none of whom I know to have been of any great means (despite being former kings, ie MacGregors), I feel quite justified in having only one sporran- a simple brown leather- and wearing it for all occasions, as well as not wearing the "official" ghillies, which I think are quite garrish anyway... So I do rather prefer my kit to be very modest, as this appeals to me as a very Scottish sensability. I'm very opinionated about most of these matters, but being an artist I can appreciate most everyone's desire to express themselves.
I suppose when ye get down to the nitty-gritty, it's all "fashion" for the most part and open to one's own taste. And there's just no accounting for taste sometimes...
