I love the Saltire but I don't like it on a kilt, especially upon the seat.

I love the Draig Goch (Red Dragon) too but the same applies.

What's next a Stars and Stripes kilt?

Call me old-fashioned but to me it's a disrespect to the individual flags concerned. And I don't think they look good anyway.

There are much better ways of expressing patriotism such as a Saltire on the top of hose or a flag badge on jacket or headwear.

That Isle of Skye is popping up all over the place lately. I think it's an omen, leading me toward a soon to be acquired item of men's apparel. Seriously, that's a drop-dead gorgeous tartan. I've only seen it in Lochcarron's catalogue. Anyone know of a less well-known mill that makes it for less than $83-$87/meter?

The Isle O' Skye tartan is absolutely lovely. The modern leather jacobite (?) jacket looks too much like something out of a sci fi movie for my tastes.

By the by, having seen one of the Saltire kilts in person I have to say they look wonderful and I would love to have one.

    Cheers
