New Hampshire Highland Games, Loon Mountain
Hi folks
Just a couple pictures from the New Hampshire Highland Games and the New England Pipe Band Championships this past weekend. First photo is our Grade 4 band (I'm in the front row on the right). We placed 4th, which is pretty good for us!
The second pic is our Grade 3 band after winning the Grade 3 championship. They are really swell. Wish I could play like they do!!

_Fantastic_ to be back at Loon Mountain after several years at the fair grounds in Hopkinton. Weather was dicey. Rained during massed bands at noon on Saturday. Rain stopped by the time we went on to compete and stayed away until after massed bands at 6. Was quite chilly - we competed in shirt sleeves because it's easier to play pipes in shirt sleeves than a jacket, but it was pretty cool after we stopped. Absolutely poured on Sunday - we didn't stay as long as we'd intended because the weather was awful, and I expect attendance was down because of that. All in all, though, it's a beautiful venue even in the fog and the rain!
Great entertainment - Glengarry Bhoys, Albannach, Alasdair Fraser, the Brigadoons, etc.
