    And I saw and tried out that same set at the Ikea in Bollingbrook...

    ...and I thought the same thing: hey, this would be perect for sitting while wearing the kilt.

    ...and I'm here to tell you that that set is pretty tiny. I'm only 5'10" and about 175 and it was a tight, uncomfortable squeeze.

    I like IKEA but not at all impressed by that design!

    Good concept from IKEA, appears to owe some inspiration to the bard's chair but it needs to be bigger to be comfortable.

    Found that I tend to slump down in a chair with a back. So, I just use a stool that's low enough, personally. Or an ottoman. Works quite well, in that it reminds me to have a better posture when sitting, and, if the seat's small enough, I can just plop down on it and let the pleats hang over the back.

    Been using a leather ottoman as my computer stool for the past year... Works great.

    I much prefer the look of the original chair. I'll bet those skinny legs on the modern counterpart aren't all that stable. They look like they'd mark the floor as well.
