    It is simple.

    Look in a mirror.

    Do you look like a transvestite?

    If yes (unlikely) change shirt shoes socks etc.

    If no, go out and don't worry.

    You can tell.

    BTW transvestites don't want to wear kilts because they are too masculine looking.
