Prince of Wales, a fashion tartan with the red white and forest green of the Welsh flag.

You can get it in a USA Kilts Casual....the swatch is over on the semi-trad webpage. The dark green looks black on most monitors, but its a lovely forest green, evergreen green, very Christmas like.

Thanks Ron and everyone else. I like the Scottish Millenium the best. Then the Prince of Wales, then the Caledonia. The fact that Rocky at USA Kilts has those two might be the determining factor because I dont really want to spend $500 or so. I do like the Solid green shadow tartan at SK too however, but would have to get that shorted a couple inches.

But as it was pointed out in a previous post my own clan tartan, which I already have, is pretty Christmasy itself. So I may just stick with that for this year unless I convince my girlfriend or one of my family I need a new kilt for christmas. If I do that though, I better do it fast so it would get here on time. lol

Thanks again guys, there are a lot of really great tartans that were posted. You've all been a big help as always

Christmas colors can mean many things. If you are talking before Christmas a Purple or Blue would be appropiate as they are the colors of advent. White and Gold are appropriate because the Liturgical colors for chrismas are white and gold. Although red and green are associated with christmas more people are going to a rose color to decorate with.

With this in mind maybe a dress stewart with white and red. Or another dress tartan that uses white as the background color.

    Just pondering.

A little late, but how about MacDougal. I finished a kilt in that tartan. I don't have any pics of the finished kilt yet. It still has the basting stitches in it. But here is one of the kilt during the construction. It is pleated to the stripe.

My opinion, most any kilt will do, properly accessorized. Here's shots from a couple of different years at the Alexandria VA Scottish Christmas Walk.
First one is a red & black (Rob Roy MacGregor) fileidh mohr.

The next is a grey Stewart USA Kilt Philabeg

We're thinking about doing that event again this year. If so I'll likely go with the Irish American Stillwater.

OK, why not? Any of the common MacNaughton tartans would do nicely.

    Here's the muted MacNaughton

    And the modern....

I just got my new Scottish National from Rocky the other day. The red, white and green really dominiate while the dark blue kinda fades into the back ground. So I think thatll be my kilt of choice to wear on christmas day. unless of course I open another one on christmas morning haha. Thanks guys!

I'm little behind this post but I still wanted to add my 2 cents about Xmas tartans.

One of my favorites is the tartan for Prince Edward Island
