Comments at the Saturday Market
I took a stroll through our local craft, food and music market today wearing my camo X-Kilt. I ran across a gent wearing a purple tartan SportKilt. He stopped me and asked me where I got my kilt and I told him I made it and gave hime the web address of XMarks. Seems he owns a USA Kilt and possibly an Ameriklit too. Anyhow, I hope he shows up here.
I was leaning against a post watching some jugglers and listening to some free speech rap when a when a woman apporached me and said, "Excuse me. My friend said to approach you..." I was ready for her to ask about my kilt, but no. She said, "My friend (pointing to another gentleman) said I should ask you because you seem like the most confident one here, can you tell me where Umpqua Bank is. I parked my car there and can't seem to find it." After a slight pause, I told her how to get there.
It's true, ladies and gents, and it shows.
The power of the kilt is real!

I've not been approached like that for a while.... but it is pretty neat when it happens.

I wore my kilt to lodge one night and one of the older lodge members said, "you are a better man than I for wearing a kilt". This is a man that over the years in lodge I have grown to respect very much. He is such a confident speaker and has a set of pipes that any tv personality would kill for. And he tells me that I am the better man. WooHoo. what a night.

Good show old man!
I think I might have offered to guide the way, At her (or, their) convenience.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

It's 'cause you did such a good job stitching the X-Kilt up, you KNOW that don't you?
LOL

Alas, I offered, but she was off looking for her son first.

That's by far the best story I've heard about confidence showing. Thanks
