Anyone going to Williamsburg?
I.m heading out at around 7:30 tomorrow morning for the Williamsburg Scottish festival. Anyone else going to be there?

Not this year. Too much going on lately and just want a downtime weekend. However, next weekend is the Maryland Ren Festival's Celtic Weekend. So far we're planning on attending that one.

I'll be there in Crownsville for the Celtic Nations thing next weekend, but I can't make it to Williamsburg. We will be in Richmond at the end of next month. Not too sure which day. Which day will y'all be there JerMc? Gotta cut my grass and put brakes on my car this weekend. Take some photos in Williamsburg.

Richmond is a 40 minute drive for us, so we will be there both days. The North A,erican Highland Games Championships are in Richmond on the 28th, featuring professionals from all over the USA and Canada, as well as some from Scotland and the rest of the world. On the 29th Albannach is playing. It's not up on the Richmond site yet, (I found it on Albannach's site, listed on the schedule for October) because Richmond never puts up anythimg until a couple of weeks before the games. They do have a blurb about the atheletic competition though. Here is the link.

So how was Williamsburg, JerMc? Hope the weather was better down there than it was up here.

Paul, the weather was actually perfect, clear and low to mid 70s with a slight breeze to stir one's kilt. Although mine at 9 yards of 16oz Locharron kilting wool hardly moved. They had a large tented stage, but Rathkeltair could have performed in the open with no problems. They did however make reference to Alexandria amd said they had thought that their music brought rain,
