City of Heroes...now with kilts
Yes, my boys have just informed me that after many emails begging for it...City of Heroes, in their latest patch update, will be offering Scottish kilts, with or without sporrans, for male characters.
Suffice it to say, they are already planning on how they will lobby me to allow it (good grades, courtesy, politeness, helpfulness to mom, etc) and are planning for the next upgrade.
I must confess, they don't look bad at all.
Let the kilted heroes begin. We already had a gaggle of "Haggis" themed heroes.
Paragon City will never be the same. sigh.

You are one cool Dad. I'm just barely aware that you're talking about an online role playing game. At least, I hope, I'm half cool enough to have gotten that part right. O'Neille

I was just coming in to post about this
The relevant link at the City of Heroes website: http://www.cityofheroes.com/communit...s_9months.html
Basically, if you have (or eventually will have) an account on the game that has been active for 9 months, you can dress your male heroes in a kilt. Female heras get a sexy shirt that shows off their midriff.

I was a comic book artist, lo, many ages ago, and I've always encouraged my boys to mimic heroes in their aspirations.
Hey, we're guys. What can I say.

And sadly, the articles labeled "kilts" in WOW are long skirts that reach down to the ground.
My grilfriend was laughing at the range of emotion I showed when I first encountered these "kilt" imposters.
From joy to anger in 0.5 seconds flat!
I believe the quote went something like: "Those are not kilts! Why did they have to call them kilts?!? "
I am happy to see that City of Heroes got them right at least!
