You might want to re-think that and get the best possible kilt you can manage in a family tartan. Especially if you live where the weather is conducive to large wooly items. I just received my Clarke in a Wooly/PV blend from Scotland last week http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=21236. It is a perfect weight for the SW United States and is a 7.5 yard kilt. My lady in Scotland may be able to source one for you. O'Neille

I don't know how conducive Dallas, TX is to large wooly items... what's the source you suggested? Is it actually called My Lady?

Yes, the clan website... been there lots, but I can't seem to find anywhere on there to buy the tartan from... I have emailed them though...

I'll chime in for O'Neille. i've got a kilt he made...great workmanship. I would highly suggest checking with him for your kilt.

as for the cian tartan currently there is no official fabic
i am a member of cian and they are working on getting material
my father is a chieftan
and is working on the deal please do not support the wollen mills providing knock of material as the chief is the only one with rights to that tartan
