Bump (Games are tomorrow!)
Alan,
I think I will leave my rapier at home (with this weather it will be less a weapon and more likely a lightning rod! )
Cheers

We're having the same weather in the mid-Atlantic. Not so sure now about wearing a $ 500.00 kilt to the Celtic Weekend when I'm likely to be up to my selvedge in mud.

Dee,
I know how you feel. My Matt Newsome 5 yard knife pleated 16 oz. Galbraith kilt is on the Fed Ex. truck heading toward my house this very minute! But the thought of getting it drenched in the rain is unappealing (especially because I want to wear it to a Scottish country Dance later that evening.)
I'd better check the weather channel.
Cheers

A good time was had by all. The tent was in a perfect location to the main stage, so we had a great vantage point to watch and listen, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk.
The Loch Lomond/Ben Lomond games are on the smallish side, but it was a gorgeous day with about seven X-Markers in attendance, along with wives and daughters.
I bought a new kilt pin (a real beauty) and broke down and bought a knockoff Scottish National Tartan 5-yarder...which, BTW, I am wearing to school, today!
I got to inspect way2fractious's box pleat kilt and X-Marks kilt from the inside-out, which was great....and yes (or no?), he had on his MARPAT camo kilt at the time!

Whew! I'm glad he clarified that...
I usually take along several kilts to highland games and change them every couple hours: camos for driving, tanks for the mornings, 4-yd for the warm afternoons, and back to casuals for the drive home. One can never have enough kilts.
