My Matt Newsome 5 yard Knife Pleated Kilt!

Matt Newsome just celebrated finishing his 100th kilt. If anyone was curious what his 101st kilt was going to be, here it is...

...A 5 yard knife pleated (to sett) Galbraith Ancient 16 oz wool kilt!

This is my first custom kilt and I literally put in on mere moments ago.

    Here is my daywear look

    Very nice...
    Love the Tartan....

I'm amazed each time I see a new color...pattern...and final Kilt...it just never looks the same from a little swatch on the computer screen...

    Nice stuff.

Here is the outfit I was thinking of for Saturday night's Scottish Country Dance. I was told that the gentlemen mainly wore peasant or Jacobite shirts.
I dug out this renaissance faire shirt the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess made me (along with a rather wonderful gold noble's costume...but that's another story). To anyone who does Scottish Country Dancing is this appropriate?

I'm not bringing my horn handled walking stick with me to the dance but I just finished making the handle and installing it on a cane I picked up for about $10, and wanted to show it off.

    Cheers

After I have gotten a chance to wear it a bit I'll give a full review. I just wanted to show it off. A huge Thank You to Matt! You are a gentleman and a craftsman of great skill. I raise my glass (and tip my plumed hat) to you!

    Cheers

... and he probably won't take it off for the next 48 hours, either. But when one has a kilt that nice, with a matching driving cap and coordinated ensemble, what (or who) could possibly induce the removal of it?

If you are still dressed as above, and about eighteen hours from now, I'll recognize you at the games in Ben Lomond.
