    Women loving the kilt

We went to the Holiday Bazaar in Heidelberg yesterday. These bazaars bring in international vendors to a military community to provide a wide range of goods for sale. We had just walked in and two women asked my assistance. They wanted me to draw tickets for the raffle. They said they picked me because I was kilted and they liked the way it looked. One said her husband wore a kilt to their wedding rehearsal dinner and she still loves a man in a kilt. There was a booth with items from Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. The three women there just carried on about the kilt and how good it looked. The oldest asked permission to feel the cloth. Then they saw the skean dhu tattoo on my calf and really liked that. They all really liked kilts in general and really liked the casual look and said it was good to see someone wearing it for more than special occasions. Another woman in a different booth also complimented the kilt. The woman running the credit card approval booth was very admiring of the kilt. We were there for about three hours and I had seven different ladies saying nice things about the kilt. Those were just the ones that said anything about the kilt. There were several that just smiled when they saw the kilt. On the drive home, my wife and I had a good time talking about the number of people that liked the kilt. All the nice comments made it worth the long drive.

    YMOS,
    Tony

Wearing you kilt for the day is joy enough... but the compliments from the ladies is the icing n the cake.

    Indeed !

I was at a model train meet yesterday, after a looooonnng night of dancing in my black leather kilt (Thank you James at SK for the belt loops !), my friend Jon was good-naturedly giving me heck about wearing kilts and mentioned it to the two lasses working the admission table. Both of their faces lit up when the heard about the kilt and even more so when I said it was leather.
Not quite the reaction Jon was looking for ....
Indeed, women love a man in a kilt - proven time and time again the world over.

A fine town Heidelburg is. When in the Army in the mid 70's I enjoyed many delightful escapades. Non in kilt to my chagrin. However, you've found yourself in a good place having a supportive, communicative wife. Good for you both. I know the feeling of being complimented so much in a very short period of time. After the good words begin really sinking in I can't help but know that it aint what I'm wearing that's important. It's the opportunity suddenly available to me to start a new friendship with someone whom otherwise would have remained a stranger.
    GO KILT!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Mmmm...gluwein... I haven't had that since last year around Christmas time. Nice spiced red... ya can't go wrong with that.

I got complimented by one of the Deans here at school today. She said she didn't notice I was wearing a kilt earlier, but said it looked good, and was very convincing. Yeah... the WPG is my new favourite. It was actually mild enough to wear it today... its first time out.

All hail the power of the kilt!

Gluwein can typically be had in the liquor stores around here during the holiday season for a few bucks a bottle... I am hoping to stock up this time around, instread of garnering a bottle or two from my folks.
