    Married Catholic Clergy

    'morning.

I am an ordained Roman Catholic Permanent Deacon, retired. I currently wear the Ross Tartan (wife's family) and I am considering saving up for 2 additional tartans, Clergy and U.S. Army.

My grandson (6 years old) has requested a kilt...so he can "be on my team."

I'm an ordained bishop in the independent Anglican/Celtic tradition. What you are planning sounds interesting.

I am not a member of the clergy, but as a layman I have particpated in several Kirk'ns at various locations. I think the Kirk'n, properly conducted is a very traditional and inspiring service, the word does need to be spread, many people are not aware of the service.

WOW! This is what I was hoping for! Please take a moment to register for the site launch email and if you can, send photos and stories....The more I have for the launch the better.

As for the Kirkin of the tartan, Yes, yes, yes! The Society of Kilted Clergy and the Kirkin of the tartan go hand in hand. It is a wonderful addition to any and all church services. A true statement of faith, a true statement of freedom.

My prayer is that the Society can help bring this into every community... The goal is to have not only the history about the Kirking of the tartan but all the events AND instructions for churches and highland games that would like to add it to their festivites.....

I do admit, I may have taken on a big project but I am blessed in knowing I am not alone..

    Blessings....
