Steve, it's here. I'm still at work, so the trial fitting is yet to come, but it really looks great. The slash pockets are slick, too. I think I can nearly fit everything my Freelander holds into those two pockets.
I appreciate the excellent service.

Looking forward to seeing the results in action.

Living alone presents problems with pictures, but the next time my son is over for a visit, I'll get him to take a couple of pictures.
OK, if you're looking for a review of Freedom Kilts, I've had the kilt on and I am preapred to be brutally honest about it.
Point your browser to the Freedom Kilts Web site and order one. Right now. Go on, go order the bloody kilt, I'll still be here when you get back.
OK, now that you've ordered your own Freedom Kilt, let's get on with the review.
As for the actual craftsmanship, it is first-cabin. If you want to know how well it was crafted, put on Bob Seger's Like A Rock. 'Nuff said?
And the fit? I'll admit that I can't even sew on a button , so I am in awe of how Steve can craft up a kilt that can fit so incredibly well, just by using measures provided over the Web. When you can strap on a kilt and not feel it's weight, you know it's right. I am really pleased with how well it looks and feels.
As for the service? After a couple of PM's, I ordered the kilt on the Freedom Kilts Web site. I got a phone call from Steve to verify a couple of things and the next thing I know, there is a kilt at the post office. A very positive experience, from beginning to end.
(Steve, the maple leaf is a neat touch. One of my closest pals is from London, Ontario and he will get a kick out of it.)
All in all, I feel this kilt was a tremendous bargain and will certainly do business with Steve again in the future. Particularly if I can get one of those shirts ordered from KiltedKnome.

OK Mike, I have pinned down the Kilted Knome. Today she sold several shirts that will be used in a wedding in Hawaii and feels she has the thing nailed.
Send her your size via PM and she will get back with you about what collar you want, how big you want the sleeves, and what length you want.
She also has some fabric options for you. (How about a nice Hemp/Cotton blend.)
Also, I can't take all the credit for your kilt. The FK ladies (Erin, Tansy, and Ann) did most of the work. I let them read your review and there were smiles all around.

Which of those ladies has the magic wand? My initial thought, as I pulled it from the box, was that there was no way there would be an ounce of swish to those pleats.
Was I ever wrong!

Actually Mike we did three Dress Model Kilts at the same time. One for you, one for Riverkilt and one for Hamish. These three were the first time I told the ladies that they had to do it all by themselves without me standing over their shoulders and without asking questions.
I figured that if they could do it for kilts going to such renowned people and which I was sure there would be public reviews that they would have passed the "Wizard of BC School of Kiltmaking" and get their certificate with the little gold stars on them.(signed in ink and everything.)
So your kilt was made by Erin and she is eagerly awaiting for you to post a pic. And I'm waiting till I see her face when she finally gets to see her work posted here.

Strange thing is he is not getting the error message but I am.
Same ISP, same browser. Wierd!
We'll have it fixed as soon as we can.
Sorry about that.
