I have plans to trek on down to Tucson for the event. Intent is to take my grandkids along and immerse them in their heritage.
No clue what I'll be wearing...look for a beer bellied bearded tatted out long hair with riverwater dripping from the hem of his kilt.
Will update.
Gotta skip the beer tent though. Had more than my share and will have 17 years sober on 11/7 if I don't drink before then.
Looking forward to meeting some of you kilted brigands and pirates

Okay, looking good for Tucson games on 11/4.
I got Friday the 3rd off for a drive down day. Gonna stay at my daughter's in Vail and commute. Hopefully bring her and the gran kids.
Still not sure if my lady will come down too. She's cramming for a national certification exam in radiology administration.

Plans are firming up for the Phoenix contingent of the Zonie Rabble!
Unfortunately, Graeme & Jackie of Arizona Kilts most likely won't make it because of all the kilt rentals for weddings this time of year, here, & my duo partner will be having surgery on the 3rd, so he can't go, HOWEVER, Phil & I are definitely going to be there. We're looking at getting there around 10:30 or 11:00 - don't want to miss the March of the Clans in the noontime opening ceremony since this year my clan, Donnachaidh, is the honored clan.
I also like the suggestion of going to the Auld Dubliner afterwards.
As for Ron's fine suggestion of a rendezvous point, do we want to meet someplace after the opening ceremony, say, the beer tent as kiltedfirepiper suggested?
And someone be sure to bring a digital camera!
.
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

so far I'm still going...and my son will be going too ...I know he'll only be 9 days old ...but he needs to get started right my wife will bring the camera as will her best friend! they both are pros with the camera( they went to college for it ) so I bet there will be some artsy fartsy pics to be had as well as the usual group shots.
Vinnie will be there playing with the 7 pipers Assn. as well as one of my other buddies who wears a kilt once in a while
See ya then!

well money is tight ...but I think we might be able to go stilll........if I go to the Dub it will be as a water drinking observer ( unless I bring my pipes and make a few bucks )
other than that ...beer tent sounds ( tasty) good as a meeting place I get off at 0800 from the station, and have to ride back to the eastside to get the family, and get dressed...no way am I gonna wear a kilt from the station to the games on a motorcycle at 0800 when the temp is below 50 !!! so I figure we'll be there around 1100 ...maybe earlier..
O'neille has my cell as does beertig so call me when you get there and I'll let you know how far out we are
see ya soon!!
