Trouble with flashes

Black PC, black vest, black tie, black flashes. I may be wrong (and will definitely told so if I am), but I think the black flashes help connect what's worn above the kilt to what's worn below it.
Given the option, I would go with saffron flashes, though.

Ribbon 2ft 3/4 to 1 in

elastic 1.5 ft 1in to 1.5 in

velcro same width as elastic 1 pkg

iron hem material

cut the ribbon 4 lengths

cut the elastic to the poing here it just overlaps about 1/2-3/4 in

place velcro on oposing sides fold the end of the ribbon over the velcro iron it in place flip over iron again

I have to jump in on this one.White hose would be the wrong choice for the event. You want to match the jacket. See the pic posted previously. That would be the best way to wear your saffron to a semi formal event. Black jacket, black hose and as mentioned by a previous post go to the fabric store and get ribbon to match the kilt and make a set quickly and cheaply.

It is my opinion that white hose should rarely be worn. The only exception is when you are going casual and wearing a white shirt. You want the focus on you, your face, not your socks! The eye will naturally travel to the area of greates brightness. Put the focus on your best asset.
