Another Atlanta Newbie

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. Like a lot of folks on here, I also live in Atlanta, Ga. My brother has been involved with the Highland Games for several years and I finally have gotten on board with it as well.

I have my first kilt (a casual kilt in Scottish National tartan) ordered from USA Kilts and hope to have it in time to wear to the Stone Mountain games next weekend. I am really excited about getting my kilt, as I have discovered I am dating an aspiring " Kilt Checker". I plan on giving lots of one-on-one training. ;-)

Anyway, I hope to meet some of ya'll there.

My wife is originally from Atlanta. I call her my "Georgia Peach". We want to make the games there in the next year or two ourselves.

Watch that kilt checker of yours. Don't give her a leaf blower! :rolleyes:

Step 8. Buy sgian dubhs.
Step 9. Buy shoes.
Step 10. Learn to make kilts.
Step 11. Hang out on X-Marks.
Step 12. Repeat as necessary and have a good time with friends and family.

All right! What a great time! Georgia kilts are exploding. When I joined this forum about 1 year and a half ago there was about 4 or 5 kilts in the whole state. We'll be competeing with the PA guys before we know it.

Now we just have to get a kilt night organized.
