Do you want light tan like brown or dark coffee type brown?

Have a look at my site. The heritage hose come in an oatmeal and also a cocoa brown.

If you want a more tan color, normal store bought hose will be available through almost any highland wear shop.

I know Rocky at USA Kilts carries them.

Definately consider the Heritage hose at Freedom Kilts, they look awesome!

Another place for socks is Hamilton Dry Goods, though they are cotton. He also has wool knee socks that might work though I've onlyt tried the cotton and been very happy with them.

I'm actually toying with taking one of my cream pairs and dying them black for my Saffron or brown for my Fraser Tartan.

I had a similar problem looking for red hose but finally found them in claret at http://www.highlandclans.co.uk/Kilt_...FTlNQgodESiW1Q

Unfortunately they don't offer brown but they had an interesting comment to make about cream hose:

"Why should anyone want cream hose? This is a very modern practice, created by some hire shops, which has no historic basis at all! "

    Interesting comment I thought.
