There are some guys on the Sportkilt web site that play in kilts. http://www.sportkilt.com/walloffame.cfm
I definately would not do it in a USA Kilt. Maybe a Stillwater economy or SK or an ebay kilt.

RCallan, itsounds like someone on that field was shooting hot. Also, I wore my Black Original UK on the field. Also as a clarifier, I did have the common sense to not go regimental instead I wore a pair of running shorts and very thick socks on my legs to deal with thorns and the like.

True...the guy that got me good was shooting hot...and instead of giving me the chance to surrender he shot me in the kidney from about 5 feet away...
I just cant think about wearing a kilt and giving him that shot!
I would have lost a NUT!

Not a paintballer, myself. But, even if I was, I wouldn't try it bare legged.

I play speedball and don't think I would try to play any tournys in a kilt. I practice with out a shirt on, it doesn't hurt that bad. In tournys I like all the padding I can get to help with the bounces. I would play a walk on game in one if I had one I wasn't afraid to screw up.
Souzaphone, what kinda marker ya shooting? My main one is a E2 cocker I built from all aftermarket parts. I'm about to send it off to have it halfblocked and re annoed.

I have been an avid paintball player since the mid 80's and almost always play in a kilt these days. In fact, I'm playing tomorrow in one. I DO wear a cup while playing, however.
I mostly play stock class pump paintball and several of my buddies play kilted as well. I had a few threads with pics up awhile back.

I don't do paint ball either, but I did consider kilted hunting. That thought occurred only briefly, then I thought about all of the briars and decided against it.

Many moons ago, my fiancee and I were gearing up for a night of indoor paintball with some other students from the college, and I took a bit of ribbing from one overly-macho doofus about the fact that I'd slipped an athletic up into my pants before we got started.
My fiancee managed to sneak up on him while he was prone, and was standing just short of his feet (with him on his stomach) when she requested his surrender.
He rolled over on his back, and got her in the facemask from about six feet away - raising a welt on her face through the vents in the mask.
She rather calmly lowered her gun and shot him several times in the groin (think about the direction, if she's standing at his feet while he's lying on his back) from the same distance. The reaction was... spectacular.
If you wanna play stupid, expect to be shot in the same fashion.
